Ponte del Vegnuti is a large, private estate immerged in an atmosphere of surreal peace. Just a few kilometres from the Tuscan towns of art, it almost seems incredible that a paradise of such uncontaminated beauty could exist…

The original village dates back to 1200-1300; the current preserved one is a rebuilding of the 1600s. A real and true stage of history, if you think that once the bishop of Luni passed through the property…

In front of the estate there is a large swimming pool, with enchanting night time lighting, which hosts lovers of peace and tranquillity. By day you can rest on the edge of the same, lying comfortably on the sun beds in tune with the surrounding environment, supplied with soft and elegant towels, each bearing the symbol of Ponte del Vegnuti embroidered by hand. Large umbrellas are at the disposal of the guests, along with elegant chairs and tables and comfortable deckchairs which offer all round comfort and shade at the hottest time of the day.

At Ponte del Vegnuti the silence is interrupted only by the running of the water in the river or by the chirping of the birds in the nearby wood… indeed, here besides the cool breeze there is the pleasant rustling of the leaves stirred by the wind... Walking in the meadows along the stream and then cooling off in the pool will guarantee the utmost in well being. For the little ones we have a children’s play area.

Inside the living quarters there opens out a wide and elegant space that can be used as a room for seminars and meetings of a working nature, as well as for friendly encounters. The large fireplace and the furniture of the hall with its frescoes are indeed able to put guests completely at their ease. Here the staff will organise thematic dinners, with typical dishes with the flavours of the mountains, hills and rivers. The demonstration of the preparation of the dishes will be followed by the tasting as well as the illustration of the dish for the evening. It will also be possible for the guests to organise on their own initiative parties and convivial dinners, using the convenient kitchen adjacent to the hall or the handy barbecue situated in the garden.

With great success on request, courses of experimental archaeology are set up, just as painting with natural colours in the open air, pottery with the Colombino system (without use of a wheel, just coils of clay), weaving on a traditional, prehistoric loom and milling of spelt or emmer with prehistoric equipment.

Ponte del Vegnuti will also supply you with mountain bikes for excursions in the open air in close contact with nature. There are many other initiatives in the planning stage.

There are many works being completed at Ponte del Vegnuti, created specially to guarantee that you have a pleasantly varied stay, such as the tennis courts on which to throw down a challenge and the cleaning of the paths traced in the nearby undergrowth: beyond the bridge that we are still rebuilding, indeed, the property extends to a very large wood in which you can go for walks, go horse riding, trekking and excursions by bicycle.
